Can HOA security officers enforce community rules?
HOA security officers can observe, communicate, document, and report community-rule concerns when the association authorizes those duties in its contract and post orders. They may remind residents or guests of published rules, request voluntary compliance, record relevant facts, notify management, and issue approved notices if the HOA’s governing process permits. They do not become police, code-enforcement officers, or members of the HOA board.
