Emergency care skills for the workplace and community
Arrow Security’s HSI First Aid | CPR AED course is designed for people who want or are occupationally required to build emergency-care knowledge and demonstrate practical skills. The current Arrow registration covers adult First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children, and infants, with scenario-based practice and assessment.
HSI states that this program is not designed to meet childcare regulatory requirements for pediatric First Aid. Confirm the required provider and certification option with your employer, licensing board, school, childcare program, or other requesting organization before enrolling.
Course topics
The current HSI First Aid, CPR, and AED program framework includes knowledge, practice, and evaluation across core emergency-care skills.
CPR and AED
Cardiac arrest recognition, chest compressions, airway and breaths, CPR-mask use, and safe automated external defibrillator use.
Choking and urgent response
Relief of choking and immediate care while professional responders are on the way.
First Aid
Bleeding control, shock, burns, poisoning, and initial care for head, neck, back, and other common injuries or sudden illnesses.
Requirements, certification, dates, and pricing
Prerequisites: No general prerequisite is stated for the standard community and workplace First Aid/CPR/AED program. Confirm any employer, school, licensing, or age requirements before registering.
Hands-on evaluation: HSI certification requires students to perform the required skills competently. An online training certificate alone is not the same as a certification card for a course that requires practical skill evaluation.
Current course option: Arrow’s current registration describes adult First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children, and infants. It is not a pediatric First Aid certification for childcare regulatory purposes.
