Arrow Security provides Arizona guard-card training through Arizona Guard Cards, with separate pathways for unarmed and armed security work. The unarmed course provides the core preassignment foundation. The armed pathway adds firearms instruction, a written examination, and live-fire qualification.
Course completion does not automatically issue a guard card or guarantee employment. Arizona DPS reviews each registration application, and employers may add assignment-specific requirements. Start by choosing the credential that matches the work you intend to perform.

Requirements, dates, and current pricing
Unarmed training: The provider currently lists an eight-hour online course at $35 and an eight-hour in-person course at $25. The online course is on demand. Use the live registration pages for the next classroom date and current availability.
Armed training: The current listing shows a $75 course, a $50 yearly requalification option for eligible returning students, and a separate $25 range fee. Ammunition and equipment are not included. The initial course is presented as a two-day classroom-and-range format.
Armed-course preparation: Students are expected to have basic pistol-shooting proficiency and bring the equipment listed for the current class. The public requirements include a duty-type handgun, holster, two magazines or speed loaders, and sufficient ammunition. Students must currently score at least 70% on both the written examination and the 50-round qualification.
DPS application costs: The provider currently states that DPS separately charges $72 for the background check and card and that fingerprints and two passport photos are required. Confirm all course, range, ammunition, equipment, fingerprinting, photo, and DPS costs before enrolling because prices and requirements can change.
