Arrow’s current website lists First Aid and CPR among its training and safety services. The appropriate course depends on the learner’s role and the credential required. A general workplace or community course is different from Basic Life Support for healthcare professionals, pediatric training, or a course required by a regulator, employer, insurer, or client contract.
What to know
Before enrolling, confirm the curriculum provider, instructor authorization, delivery format, hands-on skills requirement, topics covered, course-completion card, validity period, and whether the credential satisfies your specific workplace requirement. American Heart Association Heartsaver courses, for example, are designed for people with little or no medical training who need First Aid, CPR, and AED skills for work or general preparedness. A blended course may still require an in-person skills practice and evaluation.
Organizations should also treat training as one element of readiness. Identify AED and First Aid kit locations, assign inspection responsibilities, post emergency numbers and addresses, train people to meet responders, and incorporate medical actions into the emergency plan. Staff should call 911 and operate within their training; certification does not replace professional medical care.
