The short answer
Yes. Hotel security can cover parking areas, pool and amenity spaces, scheduled events, and after-hours activity when those duties are included in the property’s post orders. In parking areas, officers may conduct visible patrols, observe lighting or access problems, document damaged property, and escort staff under an approved policy. At pools or amenities, the security role is rule awareness and incident response; it does not replace lifeguards, trained aquatic supervision, or engineering controls.
What to know
For meetings, weddings, or conferences, officers can support access points, queue management, restricted rooms, parking flow, and communication with hotel staff. Event planning should account for attendance, alcohol service, venue layout, emergency exits, and which party has authority to remove a guest. After hours, officers may respond to noise complaints, suspicious activity, door alarms, or welfare concerns using defined escalation steps.
The hotel and provider should agree on patrol frequency, guest-contact standards, report delivery, emergency contacts, and coordination with front desk and engineering teams. Arrow offers both hotel/resort and special-event security, but the exact functions, hours, and availability should be documented for each property and event.
